Product Review: Amy's Gluten Free Non Dairy Baked Ziti Bowl
Amy's is doing great things for the gluten free community. Not to mention the dairy free community! So far, just about every product I've tried from their company has been wonderful enough to buy again. So goes the same with the Gluten-Free Non-Dairy Baked Ziti Bowl.
This tasty bowl of goodness could ALMOST be called lasagne, if not for the peas! This one is also vegan, so if that's the route you are taking, be sure to bring along a few of these!
The pasta is al dente, so it's "to the tooth", not overcooked and mushy. The tomatoes have a vine-ripened flavor thanks in part to the Italian herbs and extra virgin olive oil. Two kinds of "cheese", ricotta and mozzarella, have such a distinct mouth feel that I kept checking the box to make sure it was dairy free! The ricotta especially was amazing! As I savored every bite, I was reminded that I still need to create my own gluten free lasagne recipe - and that I need to find a good non-dairy ricotta replacement myself.
If you are craving lasagne, give this one a try. You can't go wrong with Amy's. So many terrific products, and there are still a great many others that have yet to be conquered. Find Amy's at www.amys.com for their entire line of products.
